We value our supplier partner relationships and are dedicated to achieving the best clinical and financial savings for our members.

Capstone Health Alliance is an independent regional group purchasing organization and an owner/shareholder in Premier Inc. We are always open to vetting suppliers with new and innovative products and/or services. We support Diversity suppliers such as Small, Minority, Veteran and Women owned; as well as environmentally-preferred products and services, if possible, through our review and decision process.

It is our goal to build strategic partnerships with our suppliers. The main requirement we have is that all agreements must offer cost savings to our members beyond what they can achieve on their own. Value adds are also of importance which could include revenue enhancement. Capstone welcomes conversations with suppliers who can:

  • Stand out

Share information on ways the company differentiates itself from other competitors

  • Quantifiable Savings

Bring quantifiable opportunities to the Capstone membership through partnerships or risk shares for cost reduction, process improvement, and the reduction in variation of care

  • Volume

Share current volume within Capstone membership

  • Value

Share intended value proposition or be willing to discuss a value proposition with the Capstone contracting team

  • All inclusive

Support Capstone members of all sizes and locations

Suppliers are encouraged to consider the full impact of contracts beyond cost savings, with a focus on Outcomes Based Purchasing.

We ask for no upfront administrative fees and no administrative fees in the form of supplier equity. All administrative fees accepted are disclosed annually according to the Federal Safe Harbor Laws & Provisions.

We adhere to the highest standards of ethical practices, and that is why Capstone is a member of the HEALTHCARE GROUP PURCHASING INDUSTRY INITIATIVE (HGPII). HGPII is the organization of the nation’s leading GPO’s that promotes the highest ethical standards and business practices in the purchasing for hospitals and healthcare providers. Members of HGPII follow the core Principals of Ethics and Business Conduct which can be found in the Ethics & Compliance section of our website.
