Capstone Health Alliance Announces Award Winners

Fletcher, North Carolina, October 23, 2019 – Capstone Health Alliance announces the winners of three distinguished awards – the Innovative Partner Awards, the Elevate Awards and the Decade of Sustained Excellence Award. The awards, recently presented at Capstone Health Alliance’s Annual Forum in Myrtle Beach, SC recognize members and suppliers that go above and beyond in partnering with Capstone and work continuously to improve cost, quality and outcomes in healthcare.

The Innovative Partner Awards recognize suppliers that bring opportunities to Capstone Health Alliance members and support the Capstone mission by delivering continuous value through aggregation, collaboration and innovation. The 2019 awards were presented to:

  • STERIS Corporation,
  • DeRoyal Inc.
  • Fisher Scientific, part of Thermo Fisher Scientific.

The Elevate Awards recognize individuals in the Capstone membership that work collaboratively for the betterment of the membership and demonstrate the Capstone core values of Excellence, Collaboration, Respect, Innovation, Agility, and Integrity. The 2019 awards were presented to:

  • Amy Flatt, Pharm.D., Director of Pharmacy Operations at the University of Tennessee Medical Center
  • Al Villasenor, Director of Materials Management at Lenoir UNC Health Care
  • Bob Hornsby, System Director of Supply Chain at Riverside Health System
  • Gerald Green, Value Analysis/Contract Coordinator with Doctors Community Hospital
  • Larry Kennedy, Director of Materials Management at Jefferson Regional Medical Center
  • Patrick Broos, Director of Supply Chain at Catawba Valley Medical Center.

The Decade of Sustained Excellence is a distinguished award given to an individual in the Capstone membership that has a decade of tenure with Capstone and has continuously been engaged with Capstone through contributions of time and expertise resulting in substantial value for the membership and the supply chain industry. The Decade of Sustained Excellence Award for 2019 was presented to Ron Collins, Vice President of Supply Chain at the University of Tennessee Medical Center.
