Asheville, North Carolina, August 26, 2014 – Capstone Health Alliance proudly announced the addition of St. Joseph’s/Candler Health System to the Alliance, effective July 1, 2014. The St. Joseph’s/Candler Health System is comprised of St. Joseph’s Hospital, a 305-bed acute care facility on the south side of Savannah, and Candler Hospital, a 331-bed acute care facility located in Savannah’s midtown. The St. Joseph’s/Candler Health System pride itself in being the premier health provider of the Savannah, Georgia region.

The addition of St. Joseph’s/Candler brings Capstone’s acute care membership to 47 Health Systems representing 117 Hospitals.

Established in 2013, Capstone Health Alliance is a regional purchasing organization affiliated with WNC Health Network. WNC Health Network, a 501(c)3 corporation, was created in 1995 by a group of dedicated hospital leaders to identify ways to collaborate and reduce cost among the region’s hospitals.
